  • Bridging between family and professional manager

After 25 years, eight of which were with JM Family Enterprises, as an executive, consultant, manager, supervisor, trainer and facilitator the ability to focus leadership vision and align organizational and family culture, strategy and systems led her to launch Shared Interests, Inc. where she is dedicated to the discovery of common paths to extraordinary successes. She has the unique ability to apply conflict resolution strategies to seemingly impossible situations, her reputation in the business community for successfully moving groups 'off the dime' and teaching those groups how to use the energy generated by uncertainty to their advantage is a hallmark of her success.

Being born into a family owned business and beginning her professional career at Cummins Engine Company, Dianne learned early the importance of the values of the family as centerpieces in the business enterprise; as a manager she first learned organization development and human resource development the ‘hands on’ way and then secured an advanced degree in those disciplines. This learning continues to influence the design of her practice, how she uses time and how she involves key stakeholders in the growth process.

Engaging Dianne in a process to develop your family resources, the next generation and the leadership in the enterprise is to engage a professional who will stay with the effort until success is realized; it is to engage her associates and colleagues from relationships developed over 25 years; it is to engage a partner.

The associates engaged by Shared Interests, Inc are mature business professionals with successes in Family enterprises in the environmental management, health care, insurance, automotive and heavy duty trucking industries. They have worked in the manufacturing, retail, information and service sectors and have been successful in preparing professional managers as well as family member resources for life’s challenges. Associates are engaged because of their recognized ability to work equally effectively with those representing the family and those representing members of the enterprise.

A well tested, and strongly held, belief driving our work at Shared Interests, Inc. is that the answers to most questions, issues or challenges are resident in the group or individual facing them; it is our role and commitment to create the environment that will allow honest exploration. We have developed the process of asking questions into a valuable and transferable skill that can be used to define direction, discover passion and make life plans.

All people have a style of learning that is effective for them. We will develop experiences that tap into those various styles; we know that if we are not successful in connecting with you in the learning process we will not connect with you in the growth process.

Every program, intervention and engagement that we are a part of must lead to actionable results. As such you will be pushed, with love and care but pushed nonetheless, to explore your environment for facilitators as well as inhibitors to progress and to create plans for mastery.

We are responsible to the community and the next generation of our society. We serve on a number of organizations that reflect that sense of responsibility.

The following organizations are among those that our associates support:

This is who we are.
